The Big C Coffee aims to bring together young people affected by cancer or a chronic illness. Founder Stefanie Veraghtert was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 26 and decided to establish a social enterprise based on her passion: coffee.
Building confidence
"The last 5 years of my life have pushed me to grow in ways I never thought possible. (...) Determined to make a positive impact, both for myself and for others, I launched my social brand - The Big C."
Stefanie is building her business based on boosting people’s confidence. Obviously a social enterprise does not have the budget of a multimillion dollar company.
So where does the Moose come in
First, no training. Anyone can steam any milk like a pro now. As the baristas move on in life and others come in, no extra time or budget for training is needed. Small step to serving top quality. More so, it’s fun to do.
Second, extra time. Automating milk steaming gives the baristas the freedom to focus on the coffee, learning latte art, but far and foremost to free up time to have a chat. The so needed contact with people having gone through struggles in life.
Love you too
Founder Stefanie sent the Perfect Moose some warmth.
“We love MOOOOOSE (…) Don’t forget because of Perfect Moose our baristas can create the perfect coffee with latte art. They feel so confident as a barista because customers get addicted to our coffee and keep coming. Warm regards, The Big C. Team”
